Growth of insurance activities in France

90% of the Group’s insurance business is generated in France, with earned premiums up 1.9% to €14.6 billion.

Property and casualty insurance, which represents 61.4% of total business, enjoyed healthy growth (+2.4%), driven by all the Group’s markets.

In property and casualty and liability insurance, the Group continued to grow in all its markets. Premium income from direct business came to €8,695 million, representing 2.7% growth and an outperformance of the market, which grew by 2.3%.

The motor insurance and private risks markets posted growth of 0.6% and 2.2%,respectively. This growth was driven by price increases and growth in the motor portfolios and home portfolios.

In the market for self-employed professionals and companies, premium growth reached 6.4%, driven by all segments but more particularly the affinity and corporate fleet markets.
