Created through the consolidation of the MAAF, MMA, DAS, SMABTP and L'Auxiliare portfolios, Covéa Fleet is the only insurer dedicated to the fleet and transport market. The consistent, uniform Covéa Fleet offer benefits from an effect of scale that has elevated it to market leader status, with a high level of brand awareness and recognised expertise. For companies in its partner networks, particularly the Covéa brands, Covéa Fleet provides innovative products and a modern, highly efficient Extranet. It also develops business actions with the business units of the Group, in particular with MMA agents and brokers. Gross premiums written increased 5.4% in 2008 to 703.2 million euros, such that Covéa Fleet now insures one in every four vehicles on the French market. This growth is in part a result of the development of new fleet and Transported Goods offers and the strong development of Affinity Group. Active portfolio supervision has enabled Covéa Fleet to post a slight improvement in its claims/premiums ratio and a net income of 8.9 million euros. Key figures
